Nostr is my “safe space” (lol) for saying things I know normies won’t see. That said: why tf would anyone post a photo showing they live like a heathen? This mess is so normalized that they didn’t stop to think, hmm maybe the general public might think less of me… PS is that a snake on the floor??

There's a huge difference, I think, between people who are looking to social media for lots of followers/friends, and people looking for a way to express themselves to a narrow sliver of people who make sense to them.
It's been shifting for me a lot in recent years, so that difference is pretty vivid to me.
