Proper opsec is not living in fear. And Im not saying dont discuss things. But posting screen shots of a btc purchase or posting pictures of a home mining setup is reckless and frankly just clout chasing and virtue signalling. Do what you want, but dont complain if something happens. And it dont matter if they can get anything from you or not. Criminals dont take no for an answer and will kill you trying to get what they want. And then there is the state thugs.

Yes sure, the examples you have mentioned are just stupid, we agree on not boasting or over-sharing unnecessary info.

I’m talking about little things aimed at looking for other bitcoiners or spark curiosity: putting a sticker on your shop window or car, hosting/organizing local btc events, asking merchants if they accept bitcoin payment. All this action equals to say “I own bitcoin”, but without these actions how are we to help spreading bitcoin? Should we simply give up all these actions because it is dangerous for us?

None of this other than the sticker on your car has anything to do with what I am getting at. The sticker though tells criminals something, and as such can follow you home. Do what you want, I really dont care. But 'wrench attacks' and kidnappings over btc or any other crypto dont happen to people who dont advertise for the world to see. They happen to people who need to show off for strangers. Make yourself a target, and things can happen. You may not like it, but its reality. So, ignore reality to your own detriment.

I guess my question is: in terms of becoming a target, what’s the difference between putting a sticker and on your shop window advertising you accept btc, and putting a sticker on your truck?

One is a “stupid” action while the other is absolutely reasonable, but don’t they both equally make you a target?

Ok this is good point you bring up. Businesses have cash and inventory, yet most never ever are robbed. So a sign saying it accepts btc isnt gonna change that. And everyone knows all businesses have video surveillance. Whereas a person can be followed to whereever the criminal feels safe attacking. And, your btc sticker car will eventually be at your home, letting any would be attacker know where you live. Im sure you have heard of peoples' homes being robbed after posting expensive christmas gift photos online. Yet, how often is say, a Walmart, that has those same items, robbed? I really dont have a perfect answer. And everyone's situation is different. But I just think people would do well to not advertise certain things. Especially online. That's more what I was getting at then a sticker on a car or shirt or whatever. Online you have not only run of the mill criminals, but also government agents. But basically, you (or whoever) has to decide what is best for you. Im just offering suggestions that can possibly save people serious troubles.

Basically what I am getting at is dont make yourself an obvious target, whether online or in real life. People who own gold dont advertise it to the world. People who may have a safe with 100K in it dont let people know. Smart gun owners dont advertise. As I previously stated, drug dealers dont advertise. Its just about using common sense.
