lol .. why .. bitcoin code was written on Windows .. it was released as an exe file .. ..

I wouldn’t say it reflects the philosophy of windows though. I believe the reason was bootstrapping and ensuring highest possible adoption in the early days as most users used (use) windows, while many Linux users were (are) programmers perfectly capable of putting together a bitcoin client for themselves.

Do you think a person like #Satoshi would care for adoption :-) ..

I think he’d be interested in more people using his invention

Is being a windows dev any lesser than a Unix ? I would argue windows philosophy is money .. which is not a bad thing if you were to design a protocol for money 🤑

Windows’ code is closed though. It’s against the primary ethos of Bitcoin of being open for everyone.

That is a valid point - idea of open source has its roots in Unix .. but Unix beards never cared about money :-)

Let’s agree to bitcoin being the best of both worlds ;)
