Good question... the philosophy behind decentralized is solid and garnering lots of interest. Unfortunately, the barrier of entry is high. I think of my dear old Mom, who's on FB, could I get her posting in Nostr? Probably not easily. Bluesky is likely the closest she'd get to the Fedi-verse with an easier sign up and post experience. That said, the Nostr community is strong and there's some great technical talent out there working to lower the entry barrier. Like all good innovation, the early version attracts the technically minded and eventually matures to mainstream.
