Who has been to #Tokyo before? (If Shibuya even better lol)

Any advice for a first time traveler? πŸ˜‡

I’ve been a couple times. The WiFi box rentals at the airport are pretty clutch. Last time I went, many places still preferred cash. Avoid TV show interviews πŸ˜‚ Walking everywhere is awesome. Most importantly, have fun! Way less intimidating than I thought it would be. One of my fav places in the world to visit. See ya out there βš‘οΈπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

WAIT tell me more about the wifi box rentals lol πŸ‘€πŸ”₯

Was planning on using card and Apple Pay but maybe I’ll grab some Yen before I head over

Glad to hear it’s not intimidating cuz I was feeling nervous hehe πŸ˜…

I appreciate the tips!

It’s been a few years, so not sure if they are necessary anymore.. But it’s basically just a little a little hotspot you rent at the airport and gives you service everywhere. Something like this https://www.japan-wireless.com/

I’ll grab one! Looks useful. Still figuring out what the internet/ SMS situation will look like with AT&T lol

Reasonably priced, I’m gonna get one as a back up regardless.

Or just use silent.link

You’ve used this before ? Looks clutch af

iirc, nostr:npub1jzuma368395gu523y4vk4d34p0lxgctk436hggn4qcuj93075qgqtn3vm0 mentioned this to me couple of months ago, when i asked him about data plans for tokyo

wait tell me more

If you like Sushi then 'Kaiten-sushi' is great. Thats where the sushi comes on a conveyor belt. All depends what you want to do or geek out on :) Tokyo can easily accomodate!

Awesome, thanks for the rec!
