In my opinion, they’re great if you’re only composting food scraps and you’re doing it to create soil that you will use. If you’re looking to compost other big things like grass clippings or other slash, they’re too high maintenance and small in my experience compared to just a big bin or section of yard that you can turn with a shovel.

Brilliant thanks. Yes the focus was food scraps for garden use. I do though have grass clippings and green waste that I now need to process.
