Sometimes you're not given the time or materials, and some wizards dont have the foresight to plan the routes, twists in the cabling are inevitable but you hide it in the tray in the ceiling

That’s very true. I know all about not having materials to get things done as well. Some out there look like no effort went into it and excess cable dangling everywhere.
