I am a silversmith, and I found great pleasure in melting various coins to find what they are made of. The results would shock many...the newer pennies puff up like a black marshmallow!🤪🤯

These old ones even feel more substantial than the lighter metal ones in your hand. The actual value is far beyond that which is printed on them, of course!
