I know my primary passion here is fountain pens but it's hard to argue with such numbers.

There is a time and place for the ballpoint pen and apparently that time was the entirety of human history until it was invented.

Love the simplicity!

Right!? I had no idea that such a common design of pen revolutionized writing and literacy like that.

I’m mostly a pencil guy, but I went on an aside with some people the other day about that pen. I don’t often use it, but hard to argue with the most-produced consumer product.

Right? It's just got the numbers.

I've always been an Artist so there will always be a box of art pencils in my drawer.

Nice to have a little bit of everything. I have a Pelikan 800 I ordered from Richard Binder when he was still on the grind, always at the ready. Sign things with a Kaweco Brass. Carry a Pilot Razr. But mostly bang away with ooga-booga caveman wooden Japanese graphite pencils. Can't ever go wrong with a good tool!

I offer my mad respect for your chosen tool selection. Sounds like you put some serious thought into it.

I love to draw with ballpoint. Till the point that it gets hot from friction.

I did a few comics in all ball point

I've used them my whole life!

I prefer fountain pens now but ballpoints are undeniably reliable.
