oh damn you havnt heard of it? i was excited about it. it had some issues running on already torrified systems tho. then bloody simplex came along and everyone ran with that it seems. i liked how cwtch you can have multiple identities similar to simplex. theres all this cool stuff out there but its hard to get traction. i havnt tried bitchat yet, but i saw a videio where you can pick a general location and talk to people that have selected that location which can be super interesting for some p2p use cases. of course thats with internet not bluetooth. would be good if they had lowan/meshtastic/reticulum support need to get another meshtastic device to play with.

Bitchat is kind of cool, but I think meshtastic actually has a bit more of a future just due to the fact that it can go longer range and therefore less people have to have it in order to make it usable.
It's the whole chicken and egg problem of nobody has it because nobody uses it, because nobody has it, etc.
Since meshtastic can go such a long range with the repeaters and stuff, it makes it a lot more likely that if you just buy a node and turn it on, you will find other people using it.
just use XMPP
