The government runs the education system so that citizens are programmed before they can think for themselves. This has been increasing over the last century or so as the older generations depart and the newer ones have already accepted the current paradigm. The Fabians work over generations to achieve their objectives and so do almost every other aspect of society, from the churches to the head of state.
