I have no idea what ear crunches are, but if it involves sourdough, I'm in.

We call an ear that part of bread where you cut it raw and it unfolds and darkens during baking. It's the crunchiest piece of crust, tastes imho better then the rest of it too. #breadstr

It all makes sense now. Yeah, I love the crunchy softened up by a little by butter.

Maybe a bit of chives on top? Or good lean ham?

Or on a salad, like croutons!

Or in a thick, creamy soup.
