No one ever got a virus connecting to these ports. Now, with USB mice, there's modified mice to work as data to hide that you're actually using a flashdrive or auto loading malware through what looks like a mouse connection. Or the old modified cable trick in general.
...it also didn't have keyboard install screens that are capable of privledge escalation, but that's unrelated to the port type.
