Best take on the drama so far ๐Ÿ“

Same same?

I will get beer in any case? Nice.

You say there is no choice? Bitcoin core will always have the majority?

No, he says that no matter what mempool policy you apply on your personal node, you will get a valid block either way.

And the global consensus is that you can put more than 80 bytes in a OP_Return no matter what version you are running.

Running Knots changes absolutely nothing. How bitcoin works or what miners can put in blocks. It just changes your personal mempool. nothing more, nothing less.

The funny thing is that you can upgrade to core 30 and change the value manually to whatever you want itโ€™s up to you. You donโ€™t have to change the implementation because of this change

Thanks

I think you can't change the value manually in Bitcoin Core 30

Oh, true. My fault. I was thinking that you can change it with a simple configuration.

But either way. This change doesnโ€™t effect the data miners can put in a block. Otherwise it would mean we have a hard fork.

Knots is more tasty
