I curate a bunch of sources into Feedly. Use it in both a web browser and mobile app.
I include Gizmodo in my tech feed. Ars Technica, Hacker News, Slashdot, and many others.

Feedly is actually more of an enterprise solution. They have spendy paid tiers of their service. But their free service just makes a great news feed. You can pull hundreds of sources into categorized feeds so I have feeds for tech, science, Bitcoin, financial markets... I get most of my news that way.
