Rewatched No country for old men directed by the Cohen Brothers last night. It’s a classic at this point. A western based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel. Stellar performance by Javier Bardem. Highly recommended

Yup, classic. 👌

Agreed 🤝

Amazing movie

Great storytelling

I watched that for the very first time, about a month ago. Very enjoyable, apparently, a panel of experts deemed Bardems portrayal of a psychopath, to be the most realistic, of any film. It was reading that what prompted me to watch it😬😂.

He seems totally calm on the surface. Makes him seem even more insane 😂

That's what they're like apparently, calm. Don't get ruffled but just do insane shit at the flick of a switch!

He found the perfect job for his personality! 🤭

He did, ha ha.

🤭

Is that the movie with the psycho

Yes

Need to watch that. I think I tried years ago but couldn’t understand the thick accents

I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Either that or turn on the subtitles 😂

I know it’s a classic but I swear I sat with my brother watching it and for like 5 minutes straight, we couldn’t figure out wtf they were saying 😂

Lots of thick accents in Cohen brothers movies. Big part of the movies

😂

The car scene at the end. Highest quality cinematography.

Yes. Perfectly exectuted

Yep, He makes an awesome psycho in that movie!

Definitely! What a great performance

Need to rewatch sometime soon. Sure there’s layers of stuff I missed back when

It’s so good. A classic even

Cormac McCarthy is a genius

Do you find the novel better than the movie?

I read all of cormac McCarthy except the road and no country for old man because I saw the movies first. I never read a book that I saw the movie first.

Makes sense. I guess the book would be “tainted” by your experience watching the movie.

You can’t make up your own pictures

This is true 🤝
