The hardest part of being a Bitcoiner is realizing the collapse is not nearly as imminent or even as fast-approaching as other bitcoiners say it is.

The fiat world is basically a bachanalia of delightful distraction, and it cannot possibly last forever.

Embrace the slow decline. Sure, stack some sats. Look around the fiat world, and really imbibe the degenerate things you think won't survive. Have some fucking funnel cake fries. Absolutely get them DoorDashed.

The trad wives can wait, anon. They will turn into pinch-faced church ladies soon enough, and you will need the dalliances of your fiat self to survive their hellfire.

It really helps to remind yourself that no matter how bullish you are and how much you see bitcoin as the obvious answer, most people you meet just don’t care or even have the desire to learn a fraction of what you have. Stay grounded. It will help put things into perspective.

YES BUT HAVE THE FUNNEL CAKE FRIES THEY ARE HEAVENLY

I view Bitcoin as Terminus.

While Trantor slow declines, Terminus will grow and eventually becomes the next step of civilization.

While I realize that I might not see it in my life time, I'd rather build my legacy on an emerging beacon, rather than a failing one.

Oh my god you nerds need to get laid

But doesn’t Empire destroy Terminus? 🤔 😂

I don't watch the show. But the foundation lives on.

Until it doesn't.

Wait, joking aside, did you read the books? I made the mistake of watching the series before reading them. Wondering if I’ve spoiled it or if the books unfold differently?

Terminus was attacked, numerous times but not 'destroyed'

It's foggy since it's been so many years but the largest threat I remember was the Mule. An aberation that defies psychohistory, which Selfon has, of course, predicted and planned for.

Also, there were no AI Seldon. Seldon just leaves recording of himself in the vault.

The story never really focus on the infividual 'chosen one' it's more about the world and mechanism of civilization. (Well, apart from Daneel)

I might need to re read it again soon.

The event with the Mule was the first time Seldon's recording was not coherent with what is happening.

People freaked out and the foundation almost collapse.

Kinda like if Bitcoin would (inevitably) break from its four year cycle for the first time.

Interesting. Yeah the Mule has only been mentioned a few times in the series so far. Meanwhile Terminus is rekt, though Foundation is fine.

When bitcoin breaks the cycle people are gonna lose their minds. Popcorn ready.

Based

It took awhile to get into this fiat mess. It’ll take awhile to get out. Think in decades not years

YES BUT ENJOY IT. APOLLO WILL HAVE HIS DAY BUT LET DIONYSUS INTO YOUR HEART

This truly is the hardest part and is intended to be so.

Elite wealthy have been stacking to oblivion while you try to convince your dumb fuck fam and friends.

Enjoy the overpriced coffee and donuts while you can.

It is hilarious to think about your descendants pondering the visage of your fat donut-stuffing face in the family portraiture room, before they depart for their daily lesson from their AI tutor, summoned from the copora of Marcus Aurelius. They frollic about your estate, completely ignorant that you spent most of your twenties as an empty vessel, drunk and railing other empty vessels, before you luckily stumbled upon some random Michael Saylor meme and illogically yeeted all your fortune into bitcoin.

I was using ‘you’ as a play on yer initial post but yea that stings a bit.

I was employing "your" as a theoretical and not personal device
