Im not from usa. It can be language thing becouse former president would sound just stupid in our language πŸ˜„

Or more likely cultural thing. We may say sitting president but never former. But in english text i have seen former used.

By convention, presidents don’t lose the title even after leaving office. It’s formally correct to refer to them as president or former president, but yes very stupid lmao
