The npub is a long string of characters (starting with "npub") that represents your unique id on nostr. He wants you to put it on your twitter or telegram profile to confirm that this is really you, because impersonation is always a problem on social media.

I went to his profile and saw that he’s mocking me. Very rude and stupid to help people onboard this way. A real turnoff.
