Humans that don't mature emotionally and intellectually move from a belief in Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy to a belief in a new set of authority figures we refer to as politicians. We are programmed from day one to look beyond ourselves for protection and security. This absolutely makes sense for a child, however if an adult is still searching for authority figures to shape their interface with the world then I think some self-work is in order. Humanity needs to evolve or we will "enjoy" and ever-shifting slave experience into the future.
