I love building on nostr. I can just think of an idea for a way to interact with nostr and implement it.

No need to ask for permission or buy api credits to some system that can shut me out.

nostr not only affords unrestricted and uncensorable speech for all, but it also enables us devs to build whatever we want without restrictions. It is flexible enough to build tons of new experiences that all interoperate.

Twitter clients are just the tip of the iceberg. Admittedly a very cool usecase that I’m still focused on, but a desktop client has a lot more real estate which I plan to take advantage of to explore more interesting interactions. nostr:note1z9a794kfqku057nrwd87kar4xy97jdf3vl9llmcluf745agrf6ps9gj9gg

Picture this: cloud apps that use nostr for client data. Apps store and retrieve encrypted client data via NWC. Then you have cloud services with no backend visibility into their users' data, as it should be. Then we would see if they could still offer their services for "free"

I like nostr because i can "like" things twice.

Agreed.

Another feature is the "lightness" of development.

If I were to create a convetional web app, and release it to the public, I am then responsible for the data hosted on the back end for all future users.

With #nostr, back end user data is taken care of, and I don't have that future burden, so I am much more likely to want to release a small project the public.

So nice.

so nice eh? can focus on frontend experience. Some people still build caching backends but this is just feels like you’re building a traditional web app again.

Jb55, what can we do to prevent fbi/government seizing of website/domain name /ip address like in the case of website of samurai bitcoin wallet? Do we have other technology for web to not use ip and domain name

Zeronet ?

Can nostr and nostr clients run on zeronet?

I don’t think so, zeronet is more for static content

i2p is another interesting option! Would be cool to see i2p relays

Are there any disadvantages like performance, speed, etc. to run on i2p? How does this compare to current net?

Aren't you the one riling against peer-to-peer networks. I2P is literally a peer-to-peer network, same Kademlia DHT as all the others.

Then, fbi/got still can still seize/shutdown nostr clients? Jesus, how can we escape the deep state and swamp evil ? They control every aspect of our lives
