Is Phoenix still serving the US? I had uninstalled it after hearing they left the US, but out of curiosity installed again today, and it seems to function fine. Maybe i missed something?

Oh I thought WoS was region locked? I had a friend that had it on his iPhone and it stopped working. He could not receive.
The joys on not worrying about that with a deggogled phone and a decent enough VPN.
I still get updates on the play store via aurora store.

Right, but the advantage of WOS was it was normie friendly.
Most people won't use a VPN. They also hate people that do.
I'm using express VPN and wos here in the US. alby too, but like wos better.

Derek, need vpn in order to create a receive invoice. Other than that, can receive zaps and send as usual.
I haven't seen any news that they've returned? I don't see it on Google Play, but I know you install it from unofficial sources as it doesn't do a region check.
I just went to their site, clicked on download for google, and downloaded thru Aurora store, since i use Graphene os.
Seems dangerous to download open source software through Aurora - especially a bitcoin wallet. Better grab APK from github, or use Obtainium or zap.store

You can use the apk on Android(on github). They took it off the Play Store ans App store.
