Nope, I’m the only weirdo who knows about #Nostr other than my bitcoiner friends. Many people will need to hear about it from “influencers” just like many people don’t believe you about bitcoin until they here or from “smart and successful” people on TV who you beat into bitcoin by 2-3 cycles…

Yes, and it could be that when an influx of users arrive, they’ll be attracted to an individual client(s).

That’s not necessarily a bad thing as it can give that an opportunity to show what responsible monetization looks like (where the user is the customer, not the product). This would be good for Nostr overall and it would start competition around successful customer-centric monetization models.

And to the extent that a successful client becomes the “new man, just like the old man,” THATS when the Nostr normies learn that you can just hop clients as long as you have your keys.

Being on Nostr has made even most soft-KYC sign up processes seem predatory and antiquated.
