I think after the initial ordinal craze wears off people will use them to commemorate important dates, like a birth, death or marriage. It will be a problem akin to cemeteries taking up valuable real-estate.
There are legitimate use cases for ordinals that have nothing to do with dumbass monkey JPEGs or shit token pump and dump scams.
