The day before the new Premier League seasons starts, with former captain Harry Kane off to Germany, the new #Tottenham manager Postecoglu had to name a new club captain.

Postecoglu starts the session by pointing out that the group of players should own the process of building a culture in the team:

"Rather than me telling you what the environment in the dressing room is going to be, it should be something driven by you guys."

He then presents fan favourite Sonny as the new club captain, with new signing James Maddison and world champion Christian Romero as vice captains. Maddison surprising as he is a new signing, Romero surprising as he did not earn it based on last season's performance.

After selecting his formal leaders, Postecoglu ended the session stating: "Leadership can come from the youngest player in the team. Leadership is about behaviour, that's it."
