A couple of times on 𝕏, I've gotten 'popular' enough to get a taste, and it is hard to imagine. You go from zero interaction, to wanting some interaction, to a fire-hose (in my case) of hundreds of interactions you can't possibly respond to, or not even sure you're seeing them all. When you get into thousands all the time, I suppose you're just picking a few here and there to read and interact with. I think I'd have a hard time with that.
I'm just here sharing my thoughts and shitposting as I feel like it. No pressure, no firehose.
There's a calm to not being "popular" that I don't take for granted.
I don't mind if I generally have to initiate engagements, it allows me to engage at my own pace.
