He was definitely both a tool of the system and against it; this is the nature of democracy: you have no actual options.

See I’m not even sure he was working against it. I think at most I’ll agree that it he made it look like he was. As of now this is kind of the same role I see Trump playing. At least to a certain group of people. It’s a limited hangout or whatever.

But yes. Damned if you do damned if you don’t. That’s a good assessment of the idea of democracy.
