And the sun has set on King Lorklulup for the last time πŸ•ŠοΈ

The most famous lion in the Masi Mara has sadly passed away. A fierce buffalo hunter, he overcame being kicked on his nose by a buffalo(he nose would constantly run), to been speared in the mouth by humans to been bitten on the mouth by a venomous snake. Dubbed the greatest Lion Mara dad for allowing his cubs to eat first this is such a great loss.

The greatest buffalo hunter met a tragic end, pierced by the horn of an eland that went through his stomach and exited near his ribs, I’m completely devastated as I was hoping to see him this year. πŸ’”πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

I absolutely love this animal. Even have a lion tattoo

Lions are just the greatest!

They are so important to the whole eco system of this planet as well πŸ’œ

What do you like the most about them and why are they important for the eco system?

I like that they are the most supreme of predators and that they are strong enough to overcome almost any challenge, threat or obstacle in their path.

We need them to keep the carnivores population healthy, if there’s no lions then the carnivores will overtake the land and overgrazing will comprise the eco system.

Every animal has a part to play in keep the ecosystem in balance.

Lions are tough animals, Rip King.

Sadly he leaves behind the remaining 2 brothers as well as loads of new cubs!

I’m in Maasai Mara today. The circle of life continues

Oh wow, that looks very much like his brother Olomina! Sadly the dynamics of his pride have changed, and the Mara will never be the same again.
