Bad information can now be directly piped into your eyeballs based on an algorithm determining what most likely gets your dopamine flowing.

And humans just become conditioned to believing this is how information works, creating a feedback loop.

It's not quite the dark ages, because the dark ages weren't AWARE of how shit the information is, but we are. We know we're in the dark. And its actually less comforting than not knowing.

I like the dark ages analogy. People's eyes are filled with light only to be kept in the dark. But only when you turn it off do you see the light.

They're not uncomfortable enough.
