Man in the middle attacks by Meta apps placing rootkits on phones to intercept and decrypt traffic (e.g. break SSL) ostensibly for Snapchat intelligence, but in practice for anything targeted. Basically, Israeli spyware via Meta’s acquisition of Onavo.

Can’t get open, verifiable hardware soon enough. I wish Holepunch, Signal, etc. would explicitly port their runtimes to PureOS and that Tether (Holepunch parent) or some clearly unaligned actor would bankroll a new hardware baseline for secure computation.
