We need more merchants to accept Bitcoin
We need more people who earn bitcoin first, they will find ways to spend it. Merchants without customers paying in BTC is a nothing burger.
I do agree, although I think having the “bitcoin accepted here” sticker helps with normalisation. Also, businesses are more likely to pay in bitcoin if they have accepted some first, it removes a barrier to entry
