Nobody uses Bitcoin because the culture has been hijacked by price speculators who tells everyone to HODL.
Custody Lightning works well but its custodial meanwhile Self-Custody Lightning is unaccessible, and difficult for average users.
I have even heard many horror stories from Bitcoin experts who've had issues with Lightning.
They should try again, there’s been improvements in the time that has passed.
