The term "public good" is a psyop

I would consider the bitcoin timechain a public good, one of several
Is a commodity a public good? I wouldn't consider gold, lumber, cotton etc. to be public goods just as much as the car in your driveway is a public good.
#Bitcoin being a public good would mean that the #Bitcoin is owned by everyone, which is antithetical to the design of the network. I only own the coins that I have the keys to, and not all 21 million.
Right, interesting line of thinking.
If every person on earth owned some amount of bitcoin, would it then be considered a public good?
You have me really thinking (and confused) about the definition of public and private. I'll have to think more.
Maybe this is where people take it to one of two extremes: either most things are public goods, or most things are private goods.
Some portion of the vigorous debate surrounding contentious topics may boil down to difference of opinion on what is public vs private.
Interesting points!
Always good to have food for thought 🫂💜
