The fact Amber's new version both made the constant request permission pop-ups MORE of a problem, while simultaneously adding what basically amounts to a "fuck you, approve everything" option tells you all you need to know about the "preferred" method of securely using Nostr on an Android.

This shit is BAD; bad design, bad UX, bad EVERYTHING. Amber shouldn't have ever become this cumbersome to use if you want fine control over what compatible clients have access to, yet it is.

we are all learning

i dont use amber

What's your preferred signer then (if you use one)?

my preferred signer would be a seedsigner with nostr signing image. i like air gaped pretty much!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try to fix this on Monday and after that I'll ask a designer for some help.

I almost missed this note it's better if you tag me or use #amber

Glad to hear you're receptive making this signer better than it is presently; I do think it's client dependent, since I'm sure using noStrudel or other web clients supporting Amber sign-in don't bombard you with requests as much as Amethyst does.

Either it's an Amethyst problem (likely), or it's an Amber problem. Both even, if their respective designs aren't meshing well.
