That's the problem dude, every time we come with other opinion than maxi here, we get attacked... Monero will not go anywhere, you don't like it ok. But it's not a shitcoin. I believe we gonna need more privacy tools in a very near future.

What makes you say that tho I'm curious?

"What makes you say that tho I'm curious?"

Curious about what?

I genuinely want more people on nostr, not just bitcoiners.

Then why talk shit about Monero? You want more people so you have to accept different point of view...

Because...

Even if I don't agree with you, I'd still want you to have the freedom to express your viewpoint.

It's just that I don't have a use case for monero. I've used it briefly in the past. In fact it was one of the last shitcoins on my watchlist, so I can relate a little. It's just dishonest to claim bitcoin can't be used in a very discreet fashion with a little bit of a cost, effort and hoops. It never claimed to be 100% anonymous btw.

I dont think anybody suggested Bitcoin couldn't be used in a private fashion (with considerable effort)

but in the end

the size of the anonset you are a member of

is largely tied to how *easy it is to get anonymity with that tool.

That's what I'm looking for here, talk and respect everybody even if we disagree.

But the use case is very clear for me: Monero is private by default, most people who seek privacy would rather use Monero than Bitcoin. Too hard for lambda person to make your transactions really private.

Monero, you just install a wallet like Cake, you're all set.

I don't want anybody to be able to see every transactions that I make, what I buy, what I earn, etc. Especially IRS if you know what I mean.
