Guantánamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, Moscow....
Does any nation forgo torture in the name of human rights, when they could get valuable information from people who don't seem to care about other people's lives anyway? I mean, great justification right? These people killed innocents and Russia didn't kill them back, only hurt them, AND geting valuable information to boot.
I'm NOT defending torture, I'm opening a window into their minds.
Coming up to a higher level of civility where this doesn't happen is a hard ask. I'd love for humanity to get there, but I don't expect it.
So what have I learned from this event? That Tajiks are 96% Islamic.
