The new #Nodestrich node is now fully synced, and the blockchain is 600 GB.
Letting this sit for a couple of days before attempting channel migration, which is still the critical step.
Need to make sure this is handled flawlessly as to not accidentally close all my channels, which was the purpose of this adventure.

Yes, but it’s also possible to run a pruned node that doesn’t contain all the data. Lightning requires a synced blockchain to maintain the network state.
