America is among the top 5 for countries with the highest childhood obesity rates. 1 in 5 children are obese in America, which is about 14.7 million kids.

One of the main problems I see is that current nutrition is simply an arm of processed food. Big Food has been telling us what is healthy and look where we ended up.

The chart is from the Food Compass by Tufts University where they claim cereal is healthier than meat. Major changes needed.

eggs w butter is such a delicacy, how dare they 🤨

but yeah, the preschool i work at serves too many packaged snacks (mind you, we have a kitchen)

Do you have a say in what snacks are handed out? Would be cool if you can get some healthy food in there

i can talk to the chef there and see how he gets his meal ideas. i know meat isn’t really on the menu because we have some vegetarian kids. sometimes we’ll have chicken quesadillas and an assortment of cheeses through the week, but that’s the extend to it

Cheese is good as long as it is real cheese and not fake cheese.

I was thinking more along the lines of less cheetos and goldfish and more fruits and berries
