I’ve been a registered democrat my whole [voting] life. I’ve been growing increasingly frustrated with the Democratic Party since 2016, seeing the collective effort of powers that be snub Bernie in favor of Hillary Clinton.

Today, that frustration has culminated to my decision to leave the Democratic Party, as I have now officially switched my voter registration to no-party/independent. With the unwavering support of Biden, and the DNC’s decision to not support any primary debates against Biden, imo this truly is an attack on a free and fair election. Media and communication holds immense power, and with every democratic politician past and present sharing their unwavering support for Biden, the voters have been stripped of any other option in the party despite 70+% of citizens against Biden seeking reflection.

My values and convictions have not changed. I still consider myself a progressive, and as many in bitcoin I am deeply concerned with and skeptical of our whole political and economic system. I am in no way supportive of the Republican Party at this time either, and I don’t know where may vote will land, if at all, in this next election. It all seems utterly grim and hopeless.

What I am hopeful about is the collective voice of citizens, and #bitcoin. We are fixing the money, and thus one step closer to fixing the world. While things may get worse before they get better, I do believe they will get better.

Much love ✌🏻

How about RFK Jr.?

You actually joined the orange party

🤷🏼‍♂️

The change this system needs cannot come from within the system, only from outside. Opt out and we take our power back

Thanks foe sharing, good for you!

I’ll never forget Bernie breaking records in the primary only to have the machine make a few calls to keep Warren in and others out. Disappointed Republicans can at least find a home in the Libertarian party but the left has nowhere to go. I also don’t think progressives can take control of the Democratic Party as many hoped in the last two cycles. The US would be awesome if the two major parties were non-corporate controlled libertarian vs dem socialist. We’d end up with strong freedoms while focusing spending on things that actually improve people’s lives.
