It's not actually decentralized, it doesn't provide any censorship resistance

What if it continues growing more decentralized?

Perhaps never as decentralized as nostr

But *decentralized enough* for most people. What’s the thought then? (Just saying that will be/are things that are being said now)

Perhaps nostr is just a small freedom maxi open protocol? Which is fine. Just curious

If you're comparing to a centralized service, then just compare to X.

It's easy to lie about being decentralized. It's great marketing and it's what all shitcoins do. Why trust liars' pinky promise that they will decentralize, against their VC's wishes for returns and exit liquidity.

Many people have been banned from bluesky, it's a non starter imo

“decentralized enough” doesn’t/ will not work more internet money. it will not work for internet identity.

bluesky people tend to not have the real world, adversarial awareness of the fact that most people do not believe in free expression (human nature seems to point to the fact that we all want to censor dissenting opinions). nostr’s ethos is well aware of that threat vector and is making the technical design implementation trade offs to try to exist in the long run so that people are able to communicate freely.

discourse is a symptom of a functioning society with free speech. it should be embraced; not outright discouraged.
