Clint Russel had a great point at the end of his most recent pod - if TikTok presents a real national security threat because of its data collection, wouldn’t that be the same for all other big tech companies? Just because they’re American, it’s no longer a threat? 🤔
Don’t get me wrong it is all BS. “National security” issue has to do with lack of control of the TT Algorithm.

I think they are all extensions of the 3 letter agencies. I’m not saying they control everything but they can nudge the collective conversations whenever they deem fit.
