IMO, people aren’t asking for spiritual means.

Do they need it, yes. But it isn’t what they’re asking for.

Listen to the needs of the people instead of telling them what they need. And maybe just maybe they’ll find Christ.

Respectfully, I think the Schleiermacher method has run its course. "Seeker-sensitive" churches have been hemorrhaging for decades. I think John Piper said it best on this: "don't speak to people's 'felt needs' speak to people's real need and make them feel it."
