If someone is working on eCash zaps, they should backup and try to make the spec flexible enough to adapt to Ark tokens

What are Ark tokens?

I think I'm confused... Reading through the docs, trying to wrap my head around how offline receives work. I don't understand what an ark address is.

I don't think zapping with Ark makes a lot of sense.

It's not exactly intended for high-velocity and cheap payments.

(Though it definitely supports them through Lightning)

Sounds like I need to do more research haha

I thought the main benefits were offline receives, frictionless onboarding, cheap intra-ASP payments, and stronger sovereignty, which sounded perfect for zaps. But I need to spend some more time wrapping my head around this 😄

It's cheap but not ecash cheap.

Anytime you are dealing with non-custodial systems you have to pay for this stronger sovereignty there's no way around it.

Yea that makes sense. Tradeoffs have to exist somewhere

If we assume that for tipping and donation, the risk of "double spend" is minimal for the recipient (why the tipper/donor did in the first place?) I think is worth for the self-custodial aspect of it (little vtxos are custodial, but compound over-time and can be consolidated in bigger VTXO or UTXO)
