So, looks like we have 10 users in the new version already. View post count isn't a super obvious feature for Nostr, but it's already growing on me.

The idea is to migrate to a model where each user chooses a Counting service for their posts by having an additional user setting. All apps should ping that service every time their user sees the content. In that way, we keep the count property of the user and don't centralize in a single server.

How is this going to work?

Where's the user going to set which service is going to track his content visits?

Is it going to be a NIP to standardise this preference in order to other clients to know where to ping for each user content?

How is this going to fight against abuse??

For example a user pinging hundreds of times to his own content to fake a bigger reach?
