Is it because I’m not using the npub that the wallet generated for me?

Ah yes that would be why. We don't have a way to import just a pubkey without entering your nsec at the moment. I'll see if we can come up with something to address that.

yeah, looks like the NIP-05 is set to a different pubkey. it should be set to cbb249582ac48938a02ff7ce2f57ed47c548b93af11a00fe29be008b6581f9b2 for nostr:npub1eweyjkp2cjyn3gp07l8z74ldglz53wf67ydqpl3fhcqgkevplxeq2szvje
