It uses nostrdb for profiles yes, not everything yet. Damus is going to get wayyy faster.
You should notice it during profile search and @ mentions. You will get a sense of the raw speed of this tech 🤯

Once everything is in nostrdb will Damus be able to pull all of your existing notes/events from relays and store a copy locally? Kind of like having your own personal mini-relay/backup inside Damus.
