Interesting question for y’all

If Meta has spent billions on:

1. Buying its competitors (Instagram and WhatsApp)

2. Hypothetically banning its competitors (TikTok)

3. and Meta can’t buy or ban Nostr, what do y’all think they’re doing to incapacitate Nostr?

It's too small now.

But Facebook might have to turn into a nostr client eventually at some point.

He might try to copy it somehow like he did with threads and twitter. Doubt he can do much of anything else.

or infiltrate, sabotage with flooding or any other technique to make the user experience pitiful

Bot attacks against relays and paid bountys to target npubs and run off some of newbies.. what else can they do? steal our phone# and re route our data? High jack our gmails or email? Your key is key they can't stop #nostr 💜🔑 🔐⚡️💯

Nobody cares or is likely to care about autistic private key enthusiasts on the nostr

Hard to beat Nostr without building on it, gonna end up building on it.

An indirect way to do this would be by creating a better protocol, which in turn provides better and greater incentives to be there instead of nostr. This, of course, requires an immense capital deployment and brilliant minds to overcome the time advantage that nostr has in evolution. However, this would be an extraordinary feat hehe, and I'm not sure if it's in line with your business objectives. Bitcoin faces this very same scenario every day, but there comes a point where extraordinary things are required to achieve it.

I’m sure malicious actors are loading free relays with strict liability material, eg child pron. will be a possible vector of attack.

But also, people who run relays should really try and make sure this stuff doesn’t end up there. They’re just free database after all.

Nothing. I do not see NOSTR going places. It is only #GM #puravida #btc and not much else sadly... It will eventually die out.

looks like I'm late to the party..
