It's incredible to think that this fountain has been flowing for nearly 1,800 years!

The Antonine Fountain, built between 160–180 AD in the ancient city of Sagalassos (modern-day Burdur, Turkey), is a masterpiece of Roman engineering. Crafted with seven types of colored stone and adorned with intricate decorations, it stretches 28 meters in length and stands 9 meters tall. Dedicated to Dionysos, the fountain once featured numerous statues of the deity.

Though damaged by a 6th-century earthquake, it was meticulously restored between 1998 and 2010. The original statues now reside in the Burdur Museum, while cast replicas grace the fountain.

Having been to Ephesus, I can say that these structures are even more impressive in person. I would love to be able to travel back in time to see the civilization at its peak.
