So at our local masjid, the khateeb didn't show up for Jummah prayer for some reason, and everyone was scrambling to find someone to give the khutba, and they all suddenly looked at me and pushed me behind the minbar.

I was completely unprepared but I did what any idiot in this situation did, I looked up how to give the khutba on wikihow and just rolled with it 😂

There as only time for me to give like a 5 minute speech, so naturally I just recited the verses from the Quran about Riba that I knew and talked about it's severity very briefly. There was actually more that I wanted to say, but I wasn't prepared as this was last minute.

Alhamdulilah, I think it went well. Many came up to me afterwards and wanted me to talk more about Riba, so I guess I may have inadvertently made myself one of the khateebs at our masjid, and man am I so unqualified for this. Alhamdulilah. What a weird Friday.
