My friend's mom was scammed out of $11,500 by a "time share exit" company. After a lot of back and forth, she was able to get her money back because she put it on a credit card.
As much as I believe a Bitcoin standard would be so much better overall, there's not a chance in hell she'd get that back if paid in #bitcoin
How sure are you that the time share scam returned the money? Most likely the credit card company took the hit in order to keep people using credit cards for purchases. In the future, I think purchases with bitcoin will also be returned via a third party that will make that guarantee for a fee.
Final settlement takes a long time with credit card companies. I doubt they took an 11k hit just to put some good will into a single person.
